As soon as finals and off-season softball workouts conclude, I'll be hopping on a plane to Nicaragua to spend the first part of winter break with the Sheil Catholic Center on their annual service trip to the village of Cusmapa! We will be volunteering with the Father Fabretto Organization over the course of the week in a service-immersion environment. I will have the valuable opportunity to improve my Spanish (as a Spanish minor) and grow deeper in faith while participating in fulfilling work during the holiday season. It is a fabulous way to step back from the hectic time of year, being grateful for what I have and sharing those things with others.
The cost for this year's trip is $1,800 per person. Many of our students would not be able to make the trip without the help of our fundraising efforts. Your financial contribution is greatly appreciated! The money first goes to pay for our trip expenses. Any additional money will be given to Fabretto to support their programs in Nicaragua. Thank you for your generous support! I look forward to sharing this experience with you.
