Each year, the Sheil Catholic Center sponsors an international service trip to Cusmapa, Nicaragua where we work in collaboration with the Fabretto Children's Foundation (www.fabretto.org).  All of our volunteers are students, and many of them rely on the support of our scholarship funds.  Any money raised above and beyond their trip expenses will be given as a gift to Fabretto to support their programs in Nicaragua.  We are grateful for any gift you can contribute!


The Sheil Catholic Center is the Catholic outreach on the campuses of Northwestern University.  We are a faith community of students, faculty, staff and associates who together offer a welcoming place for worship, celebration of sacraments and pastoral care. We promote education and spiritual growth, as well as provide opportunities for service and leadership within the academic setting. Thank you to everyone who has helped me out already. From my pie and taco sells, I made a little over $130. Over the past weeks, I saved $250. That means I only need $106 more! ($750-$250= $500-$264= $236-$130= $106!)

Alexandra Gloria's Story
This Christmas break, I am going on a service trip with my church at Northwestern, Sheil Catholic Center, to Nicaragua.  I'll be traveling to volunteer with La Familia Padre Fabretto in Cusmapa, Nicaragua. These past few years, I've had the desire to go, thankfully, the pieces have fallen into place this year. The last hurdle is financing the trip and raising money for Fabretto and that's where you come in.
