As a small faith community missioned from Sheil, we look to build relationships with the people at the border, with those who serve them, and with one another. We intend to look, listen and engage the real situation of those living at the border, as well as those seeking to cross the border. In our daily reflections, we will reflect on the principles of Catholic Social Teaching and share how the experience is challenging and encouraging our growth in faith. We will seek to love those that we meet and love one another in Christ. This is a "learning-service trip" we will learn from the people that we meet and with whom we collaborate. We will be changed by our time at the border, and hopefully will be Catholics with an enlivened faith upon our return.

Hello! I am a current sophomore at Northwestern studying Communication Sciences, specifically Speech Pathology, and Psychology. 

So often I am overwhelmed by the abundance of blessings in my life and the opportunities I am fortunate enough to have. As a result, I've felt called to participate in this service trip to not only share some of these blessings with others, but to truly connect with my brothers and sisters in Christ.

In a time where apathy is so prevalent, particularly surrounding families near the border, it has never been more important to spread love and foster connection through service.

If you are able to and feel called to, please support us in our service and help us be the hands and feet of Christ in the world!
