Each year, the Sheil Catholic Center at Northwestern University sponsors an alternative spring break service trip to New Orleans where we work in collaboration with Catholic Charities Program, Operation Helping Hands  .

Students assist with ongoing construction projects in an overall effort to help rebuild New Orleans following the devastating Katrina Hurricane of 2005.  This important work happens primarily through your generosity. All of our volunteers are students, and many of them rely on the support of our scholarship funds. Any money raised above and beyond their trip expenses will be given to St. Jude’s Shrine, our host in New Orleans, who reach out to the many homeless in the city.

All donations made through this page will be directed to the general Scholarship Fund. If you would like to direct your contribution to a specific student, click on the student's name to visit their personal fundraising page (links located on the left side).  If you would like to support a student who is not listed, contact Tim Higgins or call 847.328.4648.
